About

Welcome to Peony Counseling. My name is Alice Bradley-Harmon and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (Texas License # 50711) with almost 20 years experience working with all age groups. I received my Bachelor of Science in Social Work from the University of Dayton in Ohio and my Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas in Arlington. I am a member of the National Association of Social Workers and an EMDRIA Member.

I enjoy counseling teens and adults as well as couples and have training in parenting classes (Becoming a Love & Logic Parent), healing from trauma (EMDR–Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and Emotional Focused Couples Therapy. Additionally, I now am certified in Revisioning Therapy, which is a very exciting treatment for healing from complicated grief, developmental trauma and PTSD. I blend science and art with eclectic therapies focusing on your strengths and needs–using humor, creativity and compassion to connect.

Specialties include adjustment disorders, depression, anxiety, life transitions, grief, work stress, parenting issues, marital or relationship stress, pre-marital issues, identity issues, spiritual issues, self-esteem issues, trauma or abuse issues, veterans/PTSD, anger struggles, chronic illness, caregiver stress, and aging issues.

I continue to work on having a full life with my husband and two adult sons. Obviously, one of my passions includes flowers! In addition to a nice symbol for prosperity (emotionally and in relationships,) the peony is also the state flower of Indiana–where I was born. My other addiction is books—both fiction and non-fiction.

I look forward to talking with you.

Alice
